Periodontal and heart disease has been proven to be associated to each other. Both periodontal and heart disease affects a lot of people. Studies shows that people with periodontal disease are twice more likely to to experience and suffer from heart disease than those without periodontal disease.

Periodontal disease is commonly caused by bacteria that forms into dental plaque. Bacteria can enter into the blood stream affecting the heart and also to other systems of the body. When bacteria can combine with fatty plaques in the heart’s blood vessels and may contribute to clot formation leading to the obstruction in the normal blood flow resulting to heart attack.

The best prevention to periodontal disease and heart disease is fighting the bacteria that causes it. Brushing and flossing can decrease the amount of bacterial plaque and it is effective to use all-natural oral health care rinse that that kills the bacteria in plaque that is not removed by brushing and flossing.
